Paper writing guidelines

  1. Papers should include the following: abstract (not more than 250 words), introduction which should focus on relevance to the event theme and/or thematic area, main discussions including analytical/methodological frameworks, problem rationalization, key issues/arguments/analysis, conclusions, recommendations/suggestions.
  2. Full papers shall not be exceed 25 pages, doubled spaced, font size 12, New Times Roman
  3. Use highlighted headings and subheadings for better organization and presentation of analysis/issues
  4. Use APA Style:
    1. Use footnotes rather than endnotes for explanations, notes and comments but not for references
    2. All materials used or cited in text should be appear at the end of the paper and listed in alphabetical order from A to Z.
    3. All tables and diagrams should appear at the appropriate section of the paper and properly referenced in discussions
    4. All tables and diagrams should be titles as follows:
      1. Table 1: History of Ghana or
      2. Fig 1: Map/Drawing/Pie Chart of Gbintere
    5. The following shall be used in referencing: Surname, Initials, year, title of text, place of publication and publisher name.
    6. Provide page range and/or series number/volume for journal articles and edited volumes
    7. All direct quotes in text should be blocked and include author name(s), year and page number of source only.
    8. Internet sources should, in addition to the above, show date accessed and web address in the reference listing at the end of the text/paper
