Background information

The Legal Resources Centre (LRC) was incorporated under the laws of Ghana as a non profit organization in February, 1998. The mission of the LRC is to build human rights capacity for groups and individuals with a view to helping expand the frontiers of democratic development in Ghana within the framework of the 1992 Constitution. Inherently embedded in the core mission of the LRC is the deployment and utilization of essential skills of Research, Advocacy and Advisory Services and bridging the gap between grassroots democratic and governance institutions and their counterparts at the national level. All activities carried out by the LRC fall under either of the two main programmes: Human Rights Cities (HRC) and the Research, Advocacy and Advisory Services (RAAS).
