Profile – Lawrencia Adams
Lawrencia has worked with national and donor organizations for more than
twenty years; and is a senior management and consulting professional in
the development field. Her technical expertise embraces rights-based and
policy/advocacy approaches to programming, and the organizational
development of SMES, NGOS, Civil Society Organizations, and Rural
People’s Organizations. She is a gender specialist with a focus on
formulation of innovative social development projects using the
participatory approach.
Lawrencia has a very good insight into political economy and socio-cultural
related root causes of poverty and CSO development in the African context.
She is skilled in international policy advocacy, conflict transformation and
peacebuilding, strategic planning for NGOs and rural people organizations,
social impact assessment and decentralization and NGOs/PVO capacity building,
and sub-grants management in compliance with donor requirements including
USAID, European Union, CIDA and World Bank. Lawrencia is a highly
self-motivated, well organized, change-oriented, and practical problem solver.
She is fluent in English and French and holds an Executive Master of Business
Administration degree in Entrepreneurial Management, a Graduate Diploma in
Rural Sociology, and a Bachelors Degree and Diplomas in various fields.
Significant accomplishments include the implementation of Ghana’s NGO
standards project and Trust Bill.
