SELECTION
Once an application dossier has been submitted, G-RAP has a two-staged
selection process.
1. Self-assessment
Organisations are invited to take part in an organisational self-assessment
session. The self-assessment of the organisation and its proposal is a
highly participatory process. It allows organisations to rate their
existing capacities and competence to undertake the planned activities.
The sessions are facilitated and coached by G-RAP specialist staff and take
two to three hour time on average.
2. Selection by an independent committee
All information submitted by the organisation will be compiled in a
dossier and submitted to the Selection Committee, together with the outcome
of the self-assessment.
A complete dossier will contain the following documents:
-
Expression of Interest
-
Application with Workplan and Budget for the coming year
-
Self-assessment dossier
-
Support documentation (see Application, sub 2)
Decisions by the Selection Committee are communicated within two weeks to
all applicants. The Selection Committee may decide to set certain
performance benchmarks when approving support to a new Grantee or for
existing Grantees at the annual renewal of the funding relation.
